Born Brotton, Enlisted Skelton, Resided Brotton.

Private James Archibald Johnston. 43581. 4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 110080 87th T R Battn. Killed 27 May 1918.
Born Arrochar (Dumbartonshire), Enlisted Gateshead.

2nd Lieutenant William Henry Jones. 1st Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, attached to 4th Battalion. Son of William Henry and Sarah Ann Jones, of 3, Victoria Mansions, Church Rd., Hanwell, London; husband of Mabel Jane Emily Jones, of 4, Sleaford Rd., Boston, Lincs. Killed 27 May 1918. Aged 29.

2nd Lieutenant Sydney Ferguson Jowett. 12th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, attached to 5th Battalion. Son of Ferguson Marshall Jowett and Emily Jowett. Killed 27 May 1918. Aged 24.

Private Richard Jukes. 201374. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son-in-law of Mrs. Mary White, of 3, Customs Row, Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough. Died 27 July 1918.
Enlisted Middlesbrough.
