16th Battalion Highland Light Infantry. Son of William and Mary A. Garden
Armstrong, of 200, West George St., Glasgow.
Killed 7 January 1916. Aged 35.
Buried MILLENCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION
The reason Serjeant Armstrong is included on this page is because he was
gazetted to join the Yorkshire Regiment as a 2nd Lieutenant on the very day
that he was killed in action. See below;-
