8th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Robert and Mary Cartmell, late of Yarm-on-Tees. Died 7 December 1918. Aged 23.
Born Yarm (Yorks), Enlisted Northallerton, Resided Yarm.
Buried MONTECCHIO PRECALCINO COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.

Percy William was the brother of Robert Hesketh Cartmell who served in the 6th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment and was killed on 12 January 1917, also aged 23.
