Private William CLARK, 1269 / 240125.
5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Enlisted with the 5th Battalion, 3 May 1912. Embarked for France 18 April
1915.
Fought at the Battle of St. Julien, April 1915.
Wounded in left arm, October 1916. Hospitalised.
Discharged (Silver War Badge) due to wounds 6 May 1917.
Died 17 December 1928, aged 34, as a consequence of wounds. Buried in Hull
Western Cemetery alongside his brother Tom Staveley Clark of the M G C (dued
of wounds, 1924)
