98th Light Railway Train Crew Coy., Royal Engineers, formerly
24969 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Leadbeater, of 14,
Edward St., Hightown, Liversedge, Yorks. Killed 13 December 1917. Aged 23.
Enlisted Cleckheaton (Yorks), Resided Liversedge (Yorks).
Buried ALEXANDRIA (HADRA) WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY.
(Thomas Leadbeater was one of the casualties of the troop transport "Aragon"
which was torpedoed as it entered port.)
