Born West Boldon, Enlisted Sunderland, Resided Usworth.
Buried WANCOURT BRITISH CEMETERY.

Born Abt. 1896 • Boldon, Durham, England.
In the 1911 Census he is shown as a Pony Driver, undergound, and living in Douglas Terrace, Usworth.

The circumstances of his wounding during service with the 7th Battalion are currently not known.
