4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Alexander and Helen Sproul, of 36, Aire St., South Bank, Yorks. Native of Leith, Scotland. Killed 14 February 1916. Aged 20.
Born Leith (Scotland), Enlisted Stokesley, Resided South Bank.
Buried RAILWAY DUGOUTS BURIAL GROUND.
