The First World War Memorial in the William Hulme Grammar School

The War Memorial for the William Hulme Grammar School in Manchester commemorates 111 Old Boys of the School who lost their lives in the First World War. A separate memorial commemorates 66 Old Boys who lost their lives in the Second World War. A page on the Manchester and Lancashire Family History Memorial Transcription website has photos of the memorials and transcriptions of the names.

One Yorkshire Regiment soldier is commemorated on the memorial.

We are extremely grateful to Mike Berrell for the photograph of this memorial.
