The First World War Memorial in St. Lawrence's Church, York, consists of six rectangular white marble tablets placed within a green marble frame. The frame is flanked by double columns which support a plain pediment. An inscription in gold lettering is on the green marble and in black lettering on the white marble. A wreath carved in relief is at the centre of the pediment.
