The Roll of Honour for St. Denys' School, York, is held in St. Margaret's Church, Walmgate, York.
The memorial is a nowy headed bronze plaque with two vellum rolls of honour placed within apertures in the centre of the plaque. Arms of the City of York are at the top centre of the plaque. Laurel wreaths in relief above each name list with laurel garlands going off to the sides and down the edge of the plaque.
28 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War.
Amongst the names of those who lost their lives in the First World War are 2 soldiers who served in the Yorkshire Regiment.
However, on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website, an additional Yorkshire Regiment soldier is listed but is NOT shown on the memorial.
