(Although SDGW says Thomas Fell was born in Bermondsey, the 1911 Census puts
his birth place as Horsley Down (Surrey). Age 32 (therefore born 1879.) The
1911 Census has him serving with the 2nd Battalion in York, and married.
Marriage records shows that Thomas Fell married Lilian in Q1 in Middlesbrough.
Soldiers effects has Lilian as his sole dependant.
Birth records show him as having been born in Q3 in Poplar, London.)
