First World War Book of Remembrance in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland

A Book of Remembrance for all those who gave their lives in the First World War is located in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland.
The book was researched, prepared and donated to the people of Bishop Auckland by the Bishop Auckland Civic Society in 2014 in commemoration of the First World War.The book records the names of 1,480 men who gave their lives in the war. A full transcription is given on the North East War Memorials Project page.
Of the names of those who lost their lives in the First World
War, 73 are for men who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.
Some of the names have no obvious connection with Bishop Auckland, and the
records are shown in italics.
