Yorkshire
Regiment War Graves, - Mexborough Cemetery (Doncaster) |
Mexborough Cemetery contains 14 CWGC graves from the First World War and 26 from the Second World War.
However, there is one family burial of a soldier who served
with the Yorkshire Regiment. This soldier died almost 2 years after discharge
to Pension. He had been awarded a Silver War Badge, so that it is possible
that his death was reelated to war service.
The case for a CWGC record is being investigated.
Private Herbert Clark. 243432 Yorkshire Regiment, formerly
2123 KOYLI. Enlisted 5 August 1914. Discharged 6 December 1917. Died 28 November
1919 aged 22.
Silver war Badge No 277824.
