Northrepps (St. Mary) Churchyard in Norfolk contains two Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 War.

Amongst these First World War burials is one soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Beane, of Winspers Farm, Northrepps, Norwich. Died at home 14 January 1916. Aged 23.
Born Hewarth (Norfolk), Enlisted Hull, Resided Norwich.

WHO DIED FROM WOUNDS RECEIVED
IN FRANCE JANUARY 14TH 1916
AGED 23 YEARS"

"WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERERS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US. I AM PERSUADED THAT NEITHER DEATH NOR LIFE NOR THINGS PRESENT NOR THINGS TO COME SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.
