10th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Died at home 24 August 1917. Born Cramlington, Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Ashington. In Loving Memory of SIGNALLER WILLIAM ARMSTRONG BELL (2ND YORKS), BELOVED SON OF THOMAS & ELIZA JANE BELL, WHO DIED OF WOUNDS RECEIVED IN ACTION IN FRANCE, AUGT. 24TH 1917, AGED 20 YEARS. "CHRIST SHALL CLASP THE BROKEN CHAIN CLOSER WHEN WE MEET THEE AGAIN." ALSO THOMAS BELOVED HUSBAND OF THE ABOVE ELIZA JANE BELL DIED NOVR. 23RD 1929 AGED 65 YEARS.
