The Denstone College War Memorial stands in the Longsdale Quadrangle to the south west of the College and represents St. George. The memorial was unveiled in 1925.
Adjacent to the School Chapel is the Roll of Honour in which the names of past pupils who lost their lives in both World Wars are engraved. 163 names are recorded for those who died in the First World War, and 101 names for those in the Second World War.
Amongst the names are two Officers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.
We are extremely grateful to Berenice Baynham for permission to use her photographs of the War Memorial and the Roll of Honour for Denstone College.
