The Guiseley War Memorial Garden is a semi-circular paved area, in the centre of which is the old Market Cross and Stocks. Memorial plaques for the Boer War, the First World War, and Second World War are set on stone walls that flank stone steps at the rear of the garden area.

The Memorial Garden is located at the junction of Queensway and Oxford Street in Town Gate.

152 names are commmeorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, 1 soldier of whom served in the Yorkshire Regiment.


Private Albert Jenkinson. 38054. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Joseph William and Nancy Jenkinson, of 9, Springfield Place, Guiseley, Yorks. Killed 7 June 1917. Aged 19.
