Private Sidney Joseph YOUNG, 8505. 2nd Battalion.

Private Young first enlisted with the Yorkshire Regiment in October 1906, serving in the Sudan before the outbreak of the First World War.
On the outbreak of War he was with the 2nd Battalion when they embarked for Belgium in October 1914, and remained with the 2nd Battalion until being discharged in April 1915 after being wounded.
