Photo : Blundell's School

The War Memorial for Blundell's School is shown on the school website, - www.blundells.org/admin/school_memorial.htm, together with a transcription of the names of all those past pupils who lost their lives in the First World War. Together with the names are the ranks and regiments for each past pupil.
What is very strking in this list of names is that they are almost exclusively Officers.

One past pupil of Blundell's School served in the Yorkshire Regiment and is named on the school memorial.

We are very grateful to Mike Sampson, Archivist of Blundell's School, for permission to use the photographs. Mike Sampson also provided additional information on the past pupil who served in the Yorkshire Regiment, and this can be found on the page where that soldier's photo is shown.
