Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) has carried out some research into this name, and found the following;-
"Pte J Temple is Pte 11833 James Temple, 3rd Bn Yorkshire Regiment, born in 1885 and a single man who lived in Guisborough. He is an interesting case regarding CWGC commemoration. He was discharged from the Army on 5/2/1918 having received gunshot wounds to the head and thigh and no longer physically fit for war service. He died in the Guisborough RD in the September quarter 1921 and the CWGC cut off point is 31 August 1921. His service record survives and he enlisted on 31 August 1914."
