Submitting Material to the Website
I will be absolutely delighted to receive any photographs (of men of the Yorkshire Regiment, War Memorials, War Graves etc.). However, I would be very grateful if you could follow the guidelines below when submitting material.
| Text | Please submit any text in the form of MS Word (*.DOC), Rich Text Format (*.RTF), or TEXT (*.TXT) files. |
| Images | Please submit any images as *.JPG files. Ideally, image files should be 800 x 600 x 72 dpi (minimum) Larger file sizes are absolutely fine, and I prefer larger files in case any images need retouching. |
| File attachments | If your file sizes are much greater than, say, 5 Mb then
I would appreciate that you let me know BEFOREHAND that you
are intending to send them as attachments. Even in this day and age of broadband access, some e-mail providers restrict the maximum file size allowed in an in-box! If you have a large number of attachments, there is an excellent website WeTransfer.com which allows files of up to 2Gb to be sent for no charge. |
I will credit all submissions to the authors who provide the photos, text etc. The copyright of all photos submitted to the website remains with the original author.
